Jig caught in the clear waters of Kodiak, Alaska with hook and line gear. Lingcod is a very unique specimen. They like to lay on rocky reefs or in crevasses and hard ocean bottoms.
Lingcod is a lean white-fleshed fish with a flavor more robust than cod or halibut, medium-firm texture, and large juicy flakes. Preparations can be any number of ways. One of our favorites is pan-fried with herb-butter, served with rosemary potatoes.
We can retain lingcod starting on July 1, it is a by-catch species, as a result, our supply is very limited. If you have a particular interest in lingcod be sure to sign up for our newsletter to stay updated on any incoming supply.
Packaged and frozen in a vacuum-sealed bag. Portioned in 1-1.5 lb packages.
