Wild Alaska rockfish jig caught in the clear waters of Kodiak, with hook and line gear. We handle each individual fish, bleeding, and immediately submerging them in slush ice. This produces a beautiful, crystal clear white-fleshed fillet.
Rockfish are found mainly around rocky structures. They hide in the cracks and crevasses of reefs and large rocks.
They have flaky white meat, with a mild flavor. Perfect for baking, frying, and grilling.
Boneless, skinless fillets, packaged and frozen in a vacuum-sealed bag. Packages are a whole fillet, weighing 1-1.5 lb. These are ocean run, meaning we do not separate fillets by size.
