Ingredients


HALIBUT

  • 4 6-8 oz. halibut fillets

  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1 tsp sea salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

LEMON BUTTER SAUCE

  • 1 medium lemon

  • 3 tbsp butter melted

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped

  • 2 tbsp fresh garlic minced

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper


Preparation


Prepare Halibut


Pat fillets dry with paper towel to remove as much mosture as possibe. Season with paprika, garlic powder, salt and pepper.


Sear Halibut


Pre-heat olive oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add fillets and sear without moving until golden crust forms, about three to four minutes..


Using a stiff spatula, carefully flip the halibut and cook three to four more minutes. Remove from pan and keep warm.


Prepare Sauce


In same pan, melt butter and sautee garlic until soft and aromatic. Add lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and simmer for a few minutes.


Serve


Plate fish and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top. Serve with rice pilaf, roasted potatoes and your favorite veggies!
